Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Commercial Insurance (SME Channel)

Locations: Kolkata / Bhubaneswar / Ranchi

Territories Covered: West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya

Budget: 12 LPA – 20 LPA

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Commercial Insurance – SME Channel. The ideal candidate will handle channel development, drive sales across assigned states, manage SME clients, and build strong broker/partner relationships to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow SME business across WB, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya.

Develop and manage relationships with brokers, agents, and SME channel partners.

Drive sales for products like Fire, Marine, Liability, Engineering, WC, Group Policies, Property, etc.

Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue & profitability targets.

Identify new business opportunities and ensure deep market penetration.

Lead, mentor, and support the regional sales team to meet business goals.

Coordinate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams for smooth business servicing.

Monitor competition activities and prepare market intelligence reports.

Ensure compliance with company standards and IRDAI regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

5–10+ years of experience in Commercial/Corporate/SME Insurance.

Strong understanding of non-motor commercial products.

Prior experience managing multiple states/regions preferred.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work closely with channel partners and deliver results.

Qualification

Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred).

Candidates from General Insurance Industry only.
