Regional Portfolio Manager

Role & responsibilities

As a Regional Portfolio Manager in Collection, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the delinquent home loan portfolio within a designated region.

This role involves strategic planning, effective communication, and collaboration with various teams to optimize the collection process and minimize financial risk.

Portfolio Oversight: Manage the delinquent home loan portfolio in the assigned region, ensuring timely and effective collection efforts to minimize losses.

Strategy Development: Develop and implement collection strategies to optimize recovery while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and improve efficiency.

Risk Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments on delinquent accounts, identify potential issues, and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks associated with the home loan portfolio. Team Collaboration: Work closely with collection teams, legal departments, and external partners to coordinate efforts in recovering outstanding payments and resolving delinquent accounts.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing the home loan collection process. Stay informed about changes in laws affecting the collection industry.

Reporting: Provide regular reports on collection performance, delinquency trends, and recovery rates to senior management. Use data insights to make informed decisions and improve collection strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (MBA or equivalent is a plus).

DRA Certification

Proven experience in home loan or mortgage collection, with a strong understanding of collection strategies and best practices. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and utilize data for decision-making. Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a collection team.
