Job Description

  • As a regional sales manager you are expected to perform various tasks, duties, and responsibilities. The job description example shown below highlights the major functions of the position:
  • Sales & Marketing Design or contribute to marketing programs and evolve a Sales & Marketing strategy for the Northern India Region.
  • Set long- and short-term sales strategies for the Region assigned Oversee the sales activities of the group s Liner products/services in the Region Manage and direct sales force to ensure effectiveness & achievements of Volume & Revenue targets of the various branches in the Region.
  • Evaluate appropriate new sales techniques and ensure its implementation in order to increase sales volume of the region Human Resources
  • Serve as a coach & motivate location to meet their targets and enhance their performance for the achievement of sales goals
  • Participate in the recruitment process of employees in the region
  • Appraisal and assessment of Branch Managers in the Region.
  • Be an effective connection between the Corporate Office and the Branches. Monitor and review the Reports sent from the locations to ensure that they are timely, accurate, effective and informative Networking
  • Represent the organisation in Industry fora to understand the dynamics and Trade patterns relevant to us
  • Identify, suggest and participate in the review process of new business opportunities for the group in the Region
  • Network and develop a Customer base of Corporate accounts for the group s Liner activities
  • Explore and collate market data for possible expansion of the Group s office network in the Region.

PRINCIPALS:

  • Liaison with the Liner Principals to ensure that the requirements of the Region are met. Also, to be an effective bridge between the locations and the Principals.
  • Make recommendations on Liner service and product enhancements for improved sales

POTENTIAL:

  • Take all necessary steps to meet the financial budget of the Region and similar budget set by the Principals.
  • Ensure to complete implementation of all Digitilisation efforts of the group.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA/PHD

  • business development, team management, Strategic Planning

  • Handled multiple geographies, reasonable team size in the past 3-4 years, MLO preferred, Apart from liner, if there is any experience in feeder, logistics , logistic infra
