Job Description

Key Responsibilties

  • Regional Business Development:
  • Identify, develop, and expand business opportunities in Assam and the North-East region.
  • Build strong relationships with government departments, agencies, and clients.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to design effective strategies.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all regional clients.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in government and private sectors.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client queries and issues.
  • Sales & Marketing Execution:
  • Implement marketing strategies and campaigns to achieve regional business targets.
  • Manage tenders, bids, proposals, and agreements as per company requirements.
  • Ensure effective branding and visibility of the company’s presence in the region.
  • Team & Operations Management:
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the regional marketing team.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximize output.
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs and ensure regular reporting to management.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Collaborate with the Head Office for business strategies and execution.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, reports, and forecasts to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations in business operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ability to formulate and execute business development strategies.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and deal-closing skills with exposure to CXO-level interactions.
  • Expertise in client acquisition, partnerships, and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and industry trends.
  • Excellent financial acumen with ability to analyze P&L, ROI, and business growth metrics.

Experience

1) Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Business Development, Sales, or Strategy, mainly should be from any Steel Structure industry (Mandatory).
  • Must have previously worked at Manager level or above.
  • Strong exposure to top/reputed companies with proven success in large-scale business expansion.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Steel Structure Industry is mandatory.
  • Based in Assam or willing to relocate.
