Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Process Refunds:

    Handle various types of refunds (e.g., travel, product) according to established guidelines and timelines.
  • Customer Service:

    Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding refund status and policies.
  • Coordination:

    Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, or partners (e.g., airlines, hotels) for refund approvals and processing.
  • Data Management:

    Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, post adjustments, and balance accounts daily.
  • Financial Reconciliation:

    Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial data related to refunds.
  • Policy Adherence:

    Ensure all refunds comply with company policies and regulatory requirements (like HIPAA for medical refunds).
  • System Usage:

    Use Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus or Sabre for travel refunds.
