Quotation Specialist

As a Quotation Specialist for Thailand, your main responsibility will be to oversee the end-to-end pricing and quotation processes for travel services, catering to both FIT (Free Independent Travelers) and GIT (Group Inclusive Tours). Your role will require a keen understanding of the travel market in Thailand, including the vendor network and pricing structure. Your key tasks will include preparing and presenting accurate and competitive travel quotations for various Thailand itineraries, collaborating with local suppliers for rates on accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, and other ground services. It will be essential to stay updated on Thailand's destinations, hotel inventory, and promotional offers, working closely with the sales team to tailor travel proposals to meet client requirements effectively. Negotiation skills will be crucial as you strive to secure the best rates and deals with local partners and suppliers, ensuring prompt responses to quotation requests and maintaining a high Turnaround Time (TAT). You will also be responsible for tracking quotations, following up on conversions, and updating the status of quotations in internal systems, while keeping records of vendor contracts and pricing agreements. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field, accompanied by at least 2-5 years of experience in a quotation or contracting position, preferably within the Thailand travel sector. A strong grasp of Thailand's geography, hotel categories, and tourism activities is essential, along with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and quotation systems is required, as well as a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform under pressure. Familiarity with CRM or travel management systems would be advantageous, and fluency in English is a must, with knowledge of the Thai language considered a plus. The ideal candidate for this position would have prior experience working with travel companies handling Thailand operations, demonstrating the capacity to multitask and manage multiple quotation requests simultaneously.
