About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automated software testing, coupled with solid networking experience, to join our product quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of complex software and hardware systems, particularly in networking and advanced technology domains such as cryptography and quantum communications. Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts covering functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Design and implement robust automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and coverage. Perform comprehensive system-level testing including compatibility and stress/load testing across different environments. Test network hardware and software components such as routers, switches, and related infrastructure for functional and performance correctness. Collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and design effective test strategies. Participate actively in code reviews to enhance testability, ensure quality, and enforce best practices. Work with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and isolate defects; provide clear, detailed defect reports and validation feedback. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, testing tools, and methodologies. Ensure product quality aligns with business and technical requirements by proactively identifying risk areas and suggesting mitigation strategies. Stay updated with latest trends and advancements in quantum technology, cryptography, communication protocols, and incorporate relevant testing approaches. Required Skills & Experience 2-7 years of experience in software testing, with proven skills in both manual and automated testing methodologies. Strong hands-on experience testing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and familiarity with network protocols and environments. Proficient in building and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripting using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Knowledge of cryptographic systems, quantum technology products, and security protocols is a strong advantage. Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail), automation frameworks, and debugging tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze test results, isolate issues, and propose practical solutions. Hands-on experience with hardware testing is a plus.
