Role Description

This is a contract, on-site Quantity Surveyor role located in Chennai. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for duties such as preparation of cost plans and detailed bill of quantities, review of contract documents, pricing and estimation services, procurement strategies, and contract administration. The role also involves billing and valuation services, change and claims management, project financial control, construction project audits, and final account and project closeout.

Role Description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for a contract role on site.

The Quantity Surveyor will handle day-to-day tasks such as preparing, detailed bills of quantities based on IS1200 (BOQ), reviewing contract documents, pricing and estimation, procurement strategies, contract administration, billing, valuation, change management, claims management, project financial control, construction project audits, and project closeout.

Project contract type: Re-measurement quantity based

Qualifications

*Civil Engineering with a QS back ground, minimum 5 years and maximum 8 years 

*Skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning

*Proficiency in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for the Auto CAD/PlanSwift software

*Experience in Cost Reporting and financial control in Commercial projects

*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a on site work environment

*A Minimum of two projects worked for the CMC side (Not a contractor)

* Tamil and English language

Contract duration: 1 years (extended based on other projects)

Maximum budget: 50000 to 60000 per month (Net pay)

Notice period: 1 to 2 weeks

Working time: 40 hours per week for 5 days
