Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, billing, and financial control of highways and road projects. The role requires close coordination with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered within budget and as per contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed

  quantity take-offs

  , BOQs, and cost estimates for highways and road projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents for accurate cost planning
• Prepare and verify

  running account (RA) bills

  , final bills, and variation statements
• Monitor project costs and budgets, highlighting deviations and cost overruns
• Handle

  measurement books (MBs)

  and site measurements in coordination with site teams
• Evaluate contractor bills and recommend payments as per contract terms
• Manage

  contract administration

  , including variations, claims, and change orders
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, and execution teams for cost control
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and MIS for management review
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and contractual obligations
• Support tendering and bidding activities, including rate analysis and cost comparison.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in

  Civil Engineering

  or related field

• 3–8 years

  of relevant experience in

  highways, roads, or infrastructure projects

• Proven experience in billing, estimation, and contract management for road works
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel

  , AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Primavera, Candy, or similar)
• Good understanding of rate analysis, BOQs, and cost control techniques
