Job Description

Job Title: Quality Inspector – Lighting Commodity Location: Varroc – Pune & Chennai Experience Required: 5+ Years Department: Quality / QA-QC Key Responsibilities:Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of lighting components (Headlamps, Tail Lamps, Indicators, LED Modules). Conduct visual checks, dimensional inspection, functional & fitment testing. Use quality instruments: Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Go/No-Go Gauges, Torque Tools, Lux Meter, Colour Temperature Meter, etc. Verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Prepare NCRs, record defects, and document non-conformities. Support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, and other quality tools. Coordinate with production, supplier quality, and engineering teams for issue resolution. Review & support PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, MSA, SPC documentation. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality management systems. Monitor SOPs, process parameters, and work instructions on the shop floor. Participate in internal, process, and supplier audits. Maintain accurate inspection reports and ensure traceability. Drive improvements to reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints. Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical / Production Engineering OR BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical / Production Engineering Preferred Background:Experience with automotive lighting, plastic molding, or assembly line inspection. Candidates from Tier-1 suppliers (Varroc, Lumax, Motherson, etc.) preferred.
