Role Description

Seeking an accomplished Quality Head for our foundry operations in Durgapur. The candidate will lead the quality assurance function, ensuring adherence to industry standards and driving continuous improvement across foundry processes, casting quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Manage and train the quality assurance team to uphold high-quality standards.

• Ensure all material, process, and product quality parameters are in compliance with customer and industry requirements.

• Supervise routine and critical inspections, including destructive and non-destructive testing of castings.

• Lead and resolve customer complaints using robust root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action methodologies.

• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to enhance process efficiency, reduce defects, and meet delivery targets.

• Ensure all documentation for QMS, audits, and compliance is maintained and up-to-date.

• Regularly review foundry operations to identify areas for improvement, introduce new systems, and train team members accordingly.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• 8-10 years of quality management experience in a foundry or metal casting environment, with at least 2-3 years at managerial level.

• In-depth knowledge of casting processes, quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, RCA), and inspection methods.

• Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor are preferred.

• Experience with ISO, IATF, or other industry quality standards is desirable.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

• Advanced communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.

• Fluency in speaking and writing English is mandatory. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to manage customer relations, quality audits, and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
