Role Title: Quality Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Quality Engineer to join our Business Process Validation (BPV) team. The team validates our new travel ecosystem and functions as intended allowing end-users to execute core business processes across the travel journey.

Candidates will work across multiple products & engineering teams to support the development and execution of manual and automated test scripts for BPV end-to-end testing. Participate in test planning, script creation, and integration of manual and automated tests.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end flows.
  • Participate in test planning and contribute to automation strategy.
  • Execute manual test cases across multiple systems and user personas (Guest and Associate).
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results.
  • Review and interpret test scripts and associated data requirements.
  • Document test activities and support defect management.
  • Collaborate with testers and squad leaders to ensure coverage.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.


Core Work Activities:

Test Preparation:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end flows.
  • Collaborate with testers and team leads to define automation scope and strategy for releases.
  • Identify test cases suitable for automation based on risk, complexity, and frequency.
  • Analyze requirements and system architecture to design effective automated test scenarios.
  • Clarify technical details with developers and product owners as needed.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for end-to-end flows using appropriate tools (e.g., TOSCA, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Review and update automation scripts to reflect changes in functionality or system architecture.
  • Develop or source test data required for automated test execution.
  • Ensure data is reusable and supports a variety of test scenarios.
  • Configure and validate automation frameworks and test environments.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous execution.
  • Maintain documentation for automation strategy, scripts, data, and environment setup.
  • Communicate automation readiness and any issues to squad leaders or senior team members.


Test Execution:

  • Participate in test planning and contribute to automation strategy discussions.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and document findings.
  • Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with testers and squad leaders to ensure automation coverage aligns with manual testing.
  • Document defects and support resolution activities.
  • Participate in training to build automation skills and hospitality system knowledge.
  • Provide feedback on automation tools and processes for continuous improvement.


Skill and Experience:

  • 2+ years in test automation or software testing.
  • Basic experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TOSCA, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.


Education and Certifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
