Role Summary This is a new, entry-level Quality Engineer position focused on ensuring compliance, reducing defects, and supporting supplier audits. The role requires hands-on shop floor involvement and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Collect and compile production and quality data for analysis and reporting. Prepare and maintain setup approvals, work instructions, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100D standards. Participate in internal and supplier audits, with the expectation to lead audits as experience grows. Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes, focusing on defect reduction and process optimization. Apply basic quality tools such as MSA, SPC, FAI, and setup approval in daily activities. Engage in hands-on inspection and monitoring of CNCs, sliding head machines, turning, and plating processes. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure documentation and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role, preferably with exposure to CNC machining and plating processes. Basic knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), First Article Inspection (FAI), and setup approvals. Proficiency in MS Office for data compilation and reporting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge of GD&T, Drawing Interpretation skills. Hands-on shop floor experience preferred. Preferred Attributes Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
