Job Summary:
A Quality Assurance & Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and improving the
quality of products, with a particular focus on PCB assemblies used in drone systems. This role
ensures adherence to design and manufacturing standards by utilizing proven quality tools and
continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen and Six Sigma.
Job Responsibilities:
● Inspect and verify PCB assemblies used in drone systems for conformance to design and
manufacturing standards.
● Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of PCB components to ensure quality
throughout the production lifecycle.
● Develop and implement quality control processes and testing protocols specific to drone PCB
requirements.
● Maintain accurate and complete documentation of inspection results, testing outcomes, and
audit reports.
● Apply industry-standard PCB inspection methods, including visual inspection, AOI (Automated
Optical Inspection), and functional testing.
● Ensure ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection during handling and inspection of sensitive
electronic components.
● Utilize QC tools such as Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, Scatter
Diagrams, Histograms, and Check Sheets for root cause analysis and process improvement.
● Implement continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen practices to reduce waste and
increase operational efficiency.
● Apply Six Sigma methodologies to identify defects, reduce variation, and improve process
capability.
● Validate analytical and production methods to meet product specifications; standardize
procedures via SOPs and records.
● Assist QC staff in resolving non-conformities and implementing corrective and preventive
actions (CAPA).
● Track quality metrics, analyze trends, and drive improvements in product and process quality.
● Evaluate and refine sampling and testing procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
● Participate in internal and external audits and respond to customer complaints with detailed
analysis and resolutions.
● Train and guide production staff and junior QA team members on quality standards, tools, and
techniques.
Requirements & Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics or related field)
● 3–5 years of hands-on experience in quality control, especially in PCB inspection and electronic
assembly
● Strong knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology), THT (Through-Hole Technology), and
PCB assembly processes
● Proficiency in PCB inspection techniques (Visual, AOI, and Functional Testing)
● Working knowledge of ESD standards and safe handling of sensitive electronic components
● Familiarity with quality methodologies like Kaizen, Six Sigma, and standard QC tools
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
