Quality Engineer

A Quality Engineer ensures products and processes meet established standards by implementing quality control systems, conducting tests, and performing audits. Key responsibilities include developing quality standards, analyzing data to identify and solve problems, creating documentation, and driving continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality systems: Design and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure products are safe, reliable, and meet specifications.
• Testing and inspection: Plan, execute, and oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, components, and finished products to verify they meet requirements.
• Problem-solving and analysis: Analyze data, investigate root causes of failures, and develop corrective actions to eliminate defects and improve efficiency.
• Documentation and reporting: Document issues, prepare inspection reports, and create documentation on quality processes and findings.
• Audits and compliance: Conduct internal process and product audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Continuous improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and work with manufacturing, design, and supply chain teams to enhance processes.
• Supplier and training management: Work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and may monitor employee training on quality procedures.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Technical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and knowledge of quality management systems and statistical quality control.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; a master's degree may be preferred.
• Experience: Experience with quality management systems and a track record of working in quality assurance or a related field is often required.
