QUALITY CONTROL SECTION HEAD (Coupling Section)

• Job Title QUALITY CONTROL SECTION HEAD (Coupling Section)

• Purpose:
• To be responsible for and implementation of all quality control inspection and testing activities of the coupling manufacturing plant.

• Responsibility:
• To report to the Quality Manager.

• Authority:
• To sign Daily Reports Records, Warehouse Requisitions, Technical Evaluations, Receiving Inspection Reports and IT Requests.

• Main Tasks.
• Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective quality control processes in coupling manufacturing plant.
• Ensure that all products meet the requirements of API 5CT, API 5B standards and applicable procedures.
• Preparation of quality reports, ITP, and verifying results for conformity.
• Maintain accurate and complete quality records, including inspection and testing data, non-conformance reports, and corrective action records.
• Review and recommend any modifications required in procedure / work instructions.
• Control all Inspection Measuring and Testing instruments and NDT calibration (MPI).
• Co-ordinate with Third Party Inspectors and plan inspection and test schedules
• Monitor and control Phosphating process, Painting , Marking , color codes and Anti rust application.
• Identify and report non-conformances, including defects, deviations, or other quality issues.
• Control of QC employees in the plant, including shift manpower, weekly maintenance shut down, and additional process requirements etc.

• Other Tasks:
• To implement ISO 9001 standard and API Q1 specification,

• Minimum Qualification and Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering,
• Fully familiar with ISO, API 5L, API 5CT, API 5B and ASTM specs and its interpretation.
• ASNT NDL Level II certification in MPI.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a similar position in an ISO certified company, with experience in API 5CT and API 5B standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
