Quality Control Engineer

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all civil construction works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and quality procedures, thereby maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety at the project site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures at site.
• Ensure construction activities comply with IS codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Review method statements, inspection & test plans (ITP), and checklists.
• Material Inspection & Testing
• Conduct inspection of incoming construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, etc.).
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material and cube testing.
• Approve/reject materials based on quality compliance.
• Workmanship & Site Inspection
• Carry out daily site inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, plastering, etc.
• Monitor concrete quality during batching, pouring, curing, and post-concreting checks.
• Ensure workmanship is in line with quality standards.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain QC records such as test reports, cube results, inspection checklists, and NCRs.
• Prepare daily/weekly quality reports and submit to Project Manager/Client.
• Maintain calibration records of equipment.
• Corrective & Preventive Actions
• Identify non-conformities and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Coordinate with site engineers to close NCRs and implement corrective actions.
• Suggest improvements for quality and durability of works.
• Coordination & Client Interaction
• Liaise with consultants, third-party inspectors, and client representatives during inspections.
• Assist in quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO/QA systems.
• Support project teams in achieving timely approvals.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Ensure quality practices are integrated with site safety procedures.
• Report any unsafe practices affecting quality of works.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 3–10 years of experience in Quality Control in civil construction (factories, buildings, infrastructure).
• Knowledge of IS codes, mix design, and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiar with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
