Job Description

Role Summary The Quality Assurance Tester ensures that software products meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance before they are released to users. This role is vital to the organization's commitment to delivering reliable and user-friendly applications. Success in this position means detecting and preventing defects early, collaborating closely with development teams, and consistently advocating for the end-user experience. The QA Tester works within the software development lifecycle and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and product stability. Responsibilities Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans Perform manual and automated testing of software applications across various platforms and browsers Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using a defect tracking system (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile/Scrum activities Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and system updates Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and comply with business and technical requirements Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on test results and user perspective Maintain and update test documentation as systems and features evolve Qualifications Proven experience as a QA Tester, QA Engineer, or similar role in software development Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Familiarity with Agile development environments and continuous integration practices Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, TestNG) is a plus Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear bug reporting and documentation Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certification in Quality Assurance or Testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is an advantage Show more Show less
