Quality Assurance Tester

Role overview

• Test web and mobile applications for functionality, usability, and performance across different scenarios.
• Collaborate with development and design teams to identify, document, and follow up on bugs and usability issues.
• Contribute to a robust testing process through well-structured manual test cases and basic automation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, and execute manual test cases for new features and regression cycles.
• Create and maintain basic automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools and re-test fixes during release cycles.
• Participate in requirement discussions, providing test effort estimates and edge-case scenarios.
• Validate APIs and database changes using Postman / Swagger and basic SQL queries.
• Evaluate the product from an end-user perspective and share feedback to improve UX and overall quality.

Skills and qualifications

• Strong foundation in software testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, and test types (functional, regression, smoke, etc.).
• 0.5–2 years of experience (excluding internships) in manual testing of web or mobile applications.
• Hands-on exposure to automation tools such as Katalon, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and REST API testing using Postman / Swagger.
• Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports; strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and a user-centric mindset.
