About the Role

We are looking for a practical and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to manage and strengthen our foundry’s quality systems. The role involves creating and implementing QAPs, Work Instructions, and inspection procedures to ensure consistent casting quality and compliance with customer and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Work Instructions, and inspection checklists for each stage of production.
• Conduct and supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspections of castings.
• Ensure proper testing and record keeping for chemical composition, hardness, microstructure, and dimensional checks.
• Maintain calibration and test records for measuring instruments and laboratory equipment.
• Investigate rejections and customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation and reports as per ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Train and guide inspection teams and shop-floor staff on defect identification and standard quality procedures.
• Coordinate with production and stores for material traceability and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of QA experience in a ferrous foundry (grey, SG iron, or steel castings).
• Knowledge of IS 2500 sampling standards, NDT methods (DP, MPI, UT), and foundry testing practices.
• Experience in handling spectrometer, sand testing equipment, and dimensional inspection tools.
• Familiarity with Excel and ERP-based quality reporting systems is an advantage.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and capability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
