Job Description: QA Engineer (Quality Assurance)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying defects, validating requirements, improving testing processes, and ensuring that the final deliverables meet both business and technical standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide clear and timely feedback.
• Design, create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Identify, log, track, and verify bugs using defect tracking tools.
• Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Validate that software solutions meet defined requirements and client expectations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to testing processes and product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts; basic understanding of automation testing is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL and database testing.
• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java or Python.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
