Job Description

About Us:

At NAYAN, we're using computer vision and AI to build safer, smarter cities. Our work spans real-time traffic monitoring, road safety, and automated enforcement solutions, and we're now expanding our team to include a passionate QA Engineer who can help us maintain product excellence.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer who can take ownership of testing across our product line. You will be responsible for ensuring all releases are reliable, secure, and bug-free across web platforms, APIs, and AI-enabled modules.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, document, and execute test plans and test cases (manual + automation).
Identify, record, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and AI engineers to ensure feature completeness and stability.
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
Own quality metrics and reporting for product releases.
Validate REST APIs and backend data through tools like Postman or Swagger.
Build or manage automated test suites for regression coverage (preferred).

Skills & Requirements:

2–5 years of hands-on QA experience (manual + automation).
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and different testing methodologies.
Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus.
Good knowledge of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries.
Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and mobile apps.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

Exposure to AI-based systems or image/video processing workflows.
Experience in performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
ISTQB or equivalent certification (optional).
