Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer specializing in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget control, contract management, and project financial planning, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and project budgets for interior fit-out projects.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Analyze vendor quotations, assist in contract negotiations, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts, variations, and claims to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
  • Measurement & Valuation: Conduct site measurements, verify contractor invoices, and prepare progress payment certificates.
  • Cost Control & Monitoring: Track project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, designers, contractors, and procurement teams to align project budgets with design and execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks associated with the project and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Final Accounts & Reporting: Prepare project close-out reports, final account statements, and cost analysis reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-10 years in interior fit-out quantity surveying, with hands-on experience in commercial, corporate, or hospitality projects.
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, MS Excel (Advanced), CostX, Primavera, SAP, ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, joinery, MEP services, and finishing standards.
  • Expertise in FIDIC contracts, rate analysis, and cost management techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial and corporate interior fit-out projects.
  • Understanding of local building regulations, taxation, and contract laws.
  • Certification from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is an advantage.
