QMS Engineer

Job Summary:

The QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures all quality documentation is properly maintained and supports continuous improvement through audits, gap analysis, and system updates. The engineer also collaborates across departments to enhance compliance, safety, and overall system effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Internal Audit / MRM:

o

Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

o

Document audit findings and prepare Non-Conformity (NC) reports.

o

Coordinate and ensure timely NC closures with appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions.

o

Participate in Management Review Meetings (MRM) and prepare related data/reports.

•

SOP Review & Gap Analysis:

o

Review production SOPs and work instructions to ensure alignment with QMS requirements.

o

Identify process gaps and work with relevant departments to implement corrective measures.

•

5S & Safety Audits:

o

Plan and conduct 5S and safety audits regularly.

o

Identify non-compliance or improvement areas in housekeeping and safety practices.

o

Work with cross-functional teams to fulfill system requirements and close the gaps.

•

QMS Implementation & Documentation:

o

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System across the organization.

o

Maintain and control quality-related documentation, ensuring document version control and traceability.

o

Train employees on QMS procedures, standards, and compliance requirements.

•

Stakeholder Communication:

o

Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

o

Communicate audit findings, improvement plans, and compliance status to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

•

In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant QMS standards.

•

Experience in internal auditing and audit closure (NC management).

•

Strong knowledge of production processes, safety protocols, and 5S principles.

•

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

•

Effective verbal and written communication.

•

Strong documentation and report writing skills.

•

Proficiency in MS Office and QMS software/tools.

•

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹350,000.00 per year
