QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Multi-disciplinary site construction Quality process exposure

Exposure of Quality process for construction of civil works in infrastructure plants like Piling, Cement Silos, dynamic foundations like Ball Mills etc. Additional responsibilities to monitor & control execution of office and utility buildings, roads, bridges, PEB etc.

Preparation of FQP and ensuring its adherence with execution Contractors.

Preparation & establishment of Project Quality Plan, Quality procedures, work instructions based on Tender study and contract scope.

Conducting Quality inspection / Surveillance of construction activities of projects.

Validation of construction activities & processes as per QA requirements.

Ensure timely and effective resolution for QA or QC issues, in coordination with Construction Manager/Consultant/Department Head

Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.

Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensure activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.

Coordination with Project Manager and Contractors for closure of Non-Conformances (NC’s). Monitoring and verification of closure of NCs.

Preparation of Project QA MIS data in specified format & time and circulation.

Liaison with cross-functional Departments (Engg., TCD, PRMC, HSEQ) as well as Contractors for resolving construction Quality issues as & when required.

Witness of material test in laboratory as & when required.

Selection and deployment of suitable Quality Surveyors as & when required at Site & efficiently utilizing them.

Ensuring 100% documentary records for Project Quality protocols, jointly signed formats, Templates, and procedures.

Periodic reporting to CQA & HP, DP & SH for regular updates of Site Quality matters

Checking of Raw Material/Equipment received at site and certifying Invoices.

Review of calibration certificates of Instrument/Equipment used during construction.

Validation of Field marking as per drawings, excavation, PCC, raft work, shuttering, bar-bending, back-filling etc.

Testing of Quality parameters for Coarse & Fine aggregates, Chemical admixtures, Concrete, reinforcement, Stone & brick masonry, Mortar etc.

Field checks and assurance before handing over civil foundations for mechanical erection.

Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instructions.

Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.

Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.

Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.

Liaise with Contractors quality Engineer for submission of material submittals to consultant.

Ensuring compliance with QA requirements for structural & equipment erection, installation & commissioning.

Validation of Civil work completion and project commissioning Testing with 100% QA issues addressed and all NCs closed.

Finalization of QA documents handover with Vendors/Contractors

Initiate & facilitate Project Closure and hand-over to operations.
