Overview

We’re in search of a meticulous Software QA Engineer who possesses expertise in both manual and automated testing using Python, specifically targeting our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a profound grasp of testing methodologies, a hands-on approach with JIRA, and experience or familiarity with Hiring ATS (Applicant Tracking System) application testing would be highly regarded. Your primary role will be to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web-based software products.

Key Responsilibilties

1.Manual Testing

Analyze requirements and design documents to craft comprehensive test cases.

Perform detailed manual testing including functional, integration, and usability tests.

Detect, document, and collaborate on defect resolutions.

2. Web Specific Testing:

Validate the application across various web browsers to ensure consistent behavior and look and feel.

Monitor performance, load, and stress scenarios, especially in peak usage times.

3. JIRA Management:

Utilize JIRA for defect tracking, test case management, and reporting.

Ensure clear and concise bug reporting and collaborate with development teams for prompt resolutions.

4. QA Documentation:

Draft structured and thorough test plans and test cases.

Regularly update and maintain the QA documentation with test results, learnings, and feedback.

5. Automated Testing: (Nice to have but Preferred)

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.

Execute automated tests, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly with our development and deployment processes.

Identify areas of improvement in automation coverage and work on strategic solutions.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance.

Proficient in Python with experience in related testing frameworks.

Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Hands-on experience with web application testing, understanding of different browsers, and their intricacies.

Familiarity with JIRA for bug tracking and test management.

Experience or familiarity with Hiring ATS application testing is a distinct advantage.

Critical and analytical thinking.

Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective bug reporting and team collaboration.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have:

ISTQB certification or equivalent in the QA domain.

Experience with other testing tools or platforms relevant to web application testing.

Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
