QA Engineer

As a Software Tester, your role involves reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will be responsible for creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Your tasks will include estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities. Additionally, you will design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools. It will be essential for you to identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs, as well as perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Key Responsibilities: - Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback - Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases - Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities - Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools - Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs - Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved - Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing projects to meet client needs - Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and project managers) to identify system requirements - Monitor debugging process results - Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions - Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts - Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies Qualifications Required: - Proven work experience in the software development industry - Proven experience in manual software testing methodologies and techniques - Familiarity with various testing types such as functional, integration, regression, and usability testing - Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases - Proficiency in using testing tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP Quality Center) - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Good-to-Have Skills: - Relevant certifications in quality assurance (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) - Understanding of specific domains like healthcare, finance, e-commerce, etc., depending on the industry the organization operates in - Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for assessing system Please note that the job type for this position is Full-time.
