QA Engineer

a) Basic skills required: Technical Skills:

• Minimum 0 - 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Headend/OTT platforms or similar applications.
• Familiarity with test equipments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques, including functional, non-functional.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Collaborate with other engineers and venders

b) Specify key responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases to cover various aspects of the OTT platform, TV, STB, including functionality, performance, compatibility, and security.
• Execute test cases manually and using automated testing tools to identify defects and ensure quality.

Defect Management:

· Log defects in the defect tracking system, providing detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and expected behavior.

· Work closely with development teams to resolve defects and ensure timely fixes.

Automation:

· Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.

· Contribute to the automation strategy and best practices for the QA team.

Performance Testing:

· Conduct performance testing to assess the platform's scalability, responsiveness, and load capacity under various conditions.

· Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for optimization.

Compatibility Testing:

· Test the platform's compatibility across different devices, operating systems, and browsers to ensure a seamless user experience.

Security Testing:

· Conduct security testing to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in the platform.

· Adhere to security best practices and standards.

1. CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Basic Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics & communication,Computer Science, Software Engineering,Diploma with experience or equivalent with relevant experience may be considered.
• Freshers with a flair for quality assurance are also welcome

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
