Job Summary

We are looking for a

Tester

with 1–2 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The role involves

manual and automation testing

, ensuring that software releases meet quality standards. You will work closely with Development and Product teams to validate features, identify defects, and support test automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and smoke testing
  • Develop and maintain basic automation test scripts using Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, or similar tools
  • Prepare and update test cases, test scenarios, and test data
  • Identify scenarios suitable for automation and support improvements to existing automation scripts
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAP UI
  • Conduct basic database validation using SQL queries
  • Log, track, and retest defects to closure
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing as required
  • Support CI/CD testing activities in coordination with the development team
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience of working on data and analytics platforms is preferred
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with JIRA and API testing using Postman
  • 1–2 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
  • Basic working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java
  • Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit frameworks
  • Understanding of software testing concepts, QA methodologies, and SDLC
  • Experience with REST API testing
  • Basic understanding of Microservices and backend testing concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and build tools like Maven or Gradle
  • Working knowledge of SQL for test validation

Good to Have

  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter
  • Experience testing web-based or enterprise applications
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
