Job Description

Experience: 5+ Years Duration: Contract-based Location: Remote/Hybrid (based on company policy) Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Contractor with a strong background in both automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a solid understanding of modern QA practices, automation frameworks, and quality-driven development processes. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality releases across both frontend and backend services. Key Responsibilities: ● Build and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress. ● Write modular, reusable test components in TypeScript and JavaScript. ● Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest. ● Perform manual testing for complex UI workflows and backend business logic. ● Test GraphQL queries and mutations, as well as REST APIs, using tools like Postman or Insomnia. ● Conduct cross-browser and responsive UI testing across platforms. ● Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive resolutions. ● Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation and traceability matrices. ● Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. ● Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and QA syncs. Technical Skills Required: Automation Testing: ● Strong experience in Playwright and/or Cypress. ● Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript. ● Experience with Jest, Mocha, or similar test runners. ● Good knowledge of API testing (GraphQL + REST). ● Familiar with test automation frameworks and Page Object Model (POM). ● Understanding of Continuous Integration tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI. Manual Testing: ● Strong in writing and executing test cases from user stories/requirements. ● Excellent at exploratory, regression, smoke, and UI/UX testing. ● Experience with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail. ● Good understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and QA best practices. ● Comfortable with database validations using SQL (basic to intermediate queries). Additional Skills (Good to Have): ● Experience in performance/load testing using k6, JMeter, or Locust. ● Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or working in containerized environments. ● Working knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and code review workflows. ● Hands-on with debugging tools like browser dev tools, logs, and error traces. ● Exposure to observability and logging tools like Datadog, Sentry, or Sumologic. ● Background in healthcare or clinical applications is a plus. Location: MG Road, Bangalore.
