Python Developer – Technology & IT Services (On-site, India)

About The Opportunity

We operate in the Information Technology & Services sector, building scalable web applications, backend services, and automation solutions for enterprise and mid-market clients. This role is an on-site, hands-on engineering position focused on developing robust Python-based systems that power customer-facing features and internal automation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Implement database schemas and efficient queries with PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORM tools (Django ORM or SQLAlchemy).
• Write clean, testable code and author unit/integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Containerize applications with Docker and support CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to define technical requirements, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Optimize application performance, implement monitoring/alerting, and follow security best practices for backend services.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong proficiency in Python (3.x) and experience building backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with Django or Flask for building RESTful APIs and web services.
• Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM usage.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and basic CI/CD tooling for automated testing and deployment.
• Solid understanding of unit and integration testing, debugging, and Linux-based development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  

Preferred

• Familiarity with async frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, aiohttp) and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of performance tuning, caching strategies, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
