Python Developer (4+ years)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable automation solutions primarily in

  Python

  .
• Build utilities and support tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
• Analyze logs and outputs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Enhance and maintain existing

  Shell scripts

  where necessary, ensuring seamless system integration.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data, and Infrastructure teams on daily operations and enhancements.

Must have:

• Strong expertise in

  Python scripting

  , including use of modules for logging, subprocess, file handling, exception management, etc.
• Good understanding of

  Shell scripting fundamentals

  — debugging (set -x, trap), environment variables, I/O redirection, and use of awk, sed, find, etc.
• Familiarity with

  log analysis

  ,

  script debugging

  , and

  runtime troubleshooting

  .
• Exposure to

  SQL tools

  (e.g., bteq, sqlplus) and basic

  ETL command integration

  (e.g., pmcmd, dsjob).
• Version control with Git and experience working in

  CI/CD environments

Good to have:

• Familiarity with

  schedulers

  Airflow

  , or equivalent.
• Prior experience in

  data warehouse or ETL environments

• Understanding of subshell behavior, positional parameters, and process controls.
