Looking for a Python Developer for Time Series Forecasting (10 Years of Historical Data)

We are seeking an experienced Python developer with a strong background in data analysis and forecasting to work on a key component of our Business Intelligence (BI) system.

Project Overview:

You will be working with 10 years of historical data to develop a forecasting model that captures underlying trends and seasonality. The forecasted data will be integrated into our existing BI reports to enhance strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python, especially with data science libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, Prophet, or similar

• Experience with time series analysis and forecasting techniques

• Ability to clean, preprocess, and analyze historical data

• Build and validate forecasting models based on previous trends

• Generate forecasted datasets that align with business metrics and timelines

• Deliver output suitable for integration into BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau

🎯 Deliverables:

• A Python-based forecasting pipeline or script

• Forecasted data for relevant KPIs

• Documentation on the model used and how to update it in the future

• Optional: visualizations or charts demonstrating forecasting accuracy/trends

🧠 Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with BI tools or experience working alongside BI teams

• Understanding of domain-specific KPIs (e.g., finance, sales, operations, etc.)
