PVC Production Manager

Job Summary:

The PVC Production Manager will oversee and manage the entire PVC-coated fabric production process — from raw material planning to final product output. The role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, maintaining machinery, and coordinating with R&D, Quality, and Maintenance teams to meet delivery and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning & Control:

Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet delivery targets.
Allocate manpower, materials, and machine resources efficiently.

• Process Management:

Supervise PVC coating, lamination, and calendaring processes.
Ensure correct formulation of PVC compounds, coating thickness, and quality consistency.Optimize machine parameters to minimize wastage and downtime.

• Quality Assurance:

Coordinate with the QA team to ensure all fabrics meet required physical and visual standards.
Identify and resolve production defects or deviations.

• Team Management:

Lead and guide production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
Conduct regular training to enhance team skills and process knowledge.

• Maintenance Coordination:

Ensure preventive maintenance of coating and calendaring lines, mixers, and other plant machinery.
Liaise with the maintenance team for prompt resolution of breakdowns.

• Inventory & Material Control:

Monitor raw material (PVC resin, plasticizers, stabilizers, fabrics) availability and consumption.
Work with procurement and stores to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Process Improvement:

Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce cost and improve productivity.
Suggest improvements in formulations, process parameters, and technology.

• Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental norms, and ISO standards.
Conduct regular audits and promote a culture of safe operations.

• Reporting:

Prepare daily and monthly production reports, efficiency analysis, and wastage reports.
Present KPIs such as OEE, yield, downtime, and utilization to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of PVC coating, lamination, calendaring, and compounding processes
• Hands-on experience with PVC fabric or synthetic leather production lines
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO / 5S / Lean)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and planning skills
• Proficiency in ERP / MS Excel / production reporting systems

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Plastic Technology, Polymer Science, Textile Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience: 8–15 years in PVC or coated fabric manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per month
