Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly proactive Purchase Executive with strong knowledge of sourcing raw materials and industrial components for machinery manufacturing. You will manage end-to-end procurement — from identifying vendors to negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure stainless steel sheets & coils (SS 304/316), mild steel plates & structural materials.

Procure bearings, radiators, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, fasteners, fabrication consumables and other mechanical components.

Evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing & payment terms to achieve cost savings.

Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and update supplier database.

Track material market trends to ensure competitive sourcing.

Follow up on order status to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.

Maintain purchase records in ERP / Excel and support cost reporting.

Coordinate with production, design & stores teams for smooth material flow.

Desired Candidate Profile:

2–5+ years of experience in industrial / fabrication / machinery / process equipment procurement.

Strong understanding of stainless steel grades, thickness, finishes, and market rates.

Good knowledge of bearings, motors, radiators, pumps, and fabrication consumables.

Negotiation skills with a cost-conscious mindset.

Proficiency in Excel / ERP systems.

Engineering background (Diploma / B.Tech Mechanical preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and implementing purchasing strategies and managing supplier relationships

• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools
