As an Assistant Manager- Procurement, your role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies to optimize costs and enhance supply chain efficiency. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ethical standards. Collaborating with internal stakeholders is crucial to align procurement activities with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations. - Manage supplier relationships through performance evaluation, issue resolution, and fostering long-term partnerships. - Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement inventory management strategies. - Implement procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. - Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities based on predefined criteria. - Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience as a purchasing manager in the Indian market. - In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies, and best practices. - Demonstrable experience in the Indian market and familiarity with local suppliers. - Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation techniques. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in using procurement software and systems. - Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations related to procurement. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Additionally, you should have experience with global sourcing, logistics, and supply chain best practices. Your analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.,
