Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores, planning, and accounts teams.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain vendor performance records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory procurement norms.
• Handle import/export documentation (if applicable).
• Collaborate with project, accounts, and production teams for smooth operations.
• Generate periodic purchase reports and cost analyses for management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in ERP / SAP similar systems.
• Good communication, leadership, and vendor relationship management.
• Attention to detail and strong decision-making ability.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration.
• MBA or PG Diploma in Materials Management preferred.
