Purchasing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement Activities:   - Send RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to suppliers   - Analyze quotations and create comparison sheets   - Obtain approvals as per the approval matrix   - Create POs against approved PRs   - Release POs as per SAP workflow   - Send POs to suppliers and follow up for delivery 2. Supplier Management:   - Record supplier performance according to the Management Handbook guidelines   - Visit, evaluate, and audit suppliers with the team   - Drive cost-down projects at suppliers 3. Communication and Coordination:   - Be the focal point of communication for assigned suppliers/commodities   - Prepare for and participate in customer audits for the purchasing department   - Involve commodity managers and/or users when issues arise   - Follow up with finance regarding delays in invoice booking 4. Cost Savings and Special Projects:   - Work on special projects and cost-saving initiatives as defined by management Requirements 1. Education:   - Bachelor of Engineering 2. Experience:   - 8-10 years of job experience 3. Language Skills:   - English and Hindi 4. Technical Skills:   - Knowledge of SAP/PC (computer proficiency)   - Ability to handle purchase activities for assigned commodities   - Understanding of market cost drivers and ability to reduce costs through cost-saving projects This role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work with suppliers, commodity managers, and finance teams to achieve organizational goals.
