Purchase Officer

As a Purchase Officer at Hindustan Feeds located in Satara, Maharashtra, your role involves bulk purchasing of engineering, construction, electrical, and mechanical materials. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies to minimize the total cost of acquisition of direct materials. Meeting the company targets timely, efficiently, and economically with respect to production is crucial. Your key responsibilities include: - Negotiating with vendors based on criteria such as prices, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, and credit terms. - Developing a supplier base that can provide quality materials as per company norms. - Managing inventories, maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records. - Monitoring and advising on any issues that present risk or opportunity to the organization. - Keeping track of market trends, competitor strategies, and supply markets. - Providing periodic reports for management on purchasing, controls, and processes. - Market intelligence & real-time information. - Planning and executing buffer stocking. Qualifications required for this position: - Degree in B.E. Mechanical. - 5 to 6 years of experience in the engineering purchase field.
