Role Overview:

We are seeking a Purchase Manager with hands-on experience in procurement and vendor management for construction and real estate projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining vendor relations, and ensuring timely supply of quality materials within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete procurement process for construction materials, fittings, and finishing items.
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for materials like cement, steel, plumbing, electrical, and interior finishes.
• Request, compare, and analyze quotations to select the most cost-effective options.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and payment schedules with suppliers.
• Maintain vendor database and build long-term business relationships.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
• Ensure materials are delivered on time and as per project quality standards.
• Prepare purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and manage invoices and documentation.
• Monitor material consumption trends and forecast future procurement needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality control procedures.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in procurement within the construction or real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and vendor markets.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic ERP/purchase software.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple site requirements simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and cost-analysis abilities.
