Purchase Manager (CIVIL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY)

Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services at the most favorable terms for the company. This includes developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining inventory levels to meet operational requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Source reliable vendors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate and compare supplier quotations to determine the most suitable offers.
• Negotiation & Contracting:
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Establish long-term agreements and maintain supplier performance standards.
• Inventory Control:
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Vendor Management:
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and audits regularly.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with legal and company procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities.
• Reporting:
• Generate reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• Analyze market trends and conditions to assess procurement risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or professional certifications like CPM/CIPS preferred).
• Proven experience 6+ years) in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skill.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
