Job Description

Identify and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers for construction materials (cement, steel, tiles, plumbing, electricals, etc.). Negotiate rates, delivery timelines, and payment terms to ensure cost-effectiveness. Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials as per project schedules. Coordinate with project/site engineers for daily material requirements. Maintain stock/inventory records and avoid material shortages or overstocking. Ensure quality checks and compliance with specifications. Track market trends and material costs to plan purchases efficiently. Handle documentation like PO, GRN, vendor bills, etc., and coordinate with the accounts team for timely payments. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Generate regular MIS reports for material procurement, pricing, and stock movement. Key Skills: Construction Material Procurement Vendor Management Cost Negotiation Inventory & Supply Chain Management Purchase Order & Billing Project Coordination Strong MS Excel / ERP knowledge (e.g., Tally, SAP) Good Communication & Negotiation Skills
