Property Valuer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Property Valuer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing residential, commercial, and/or industrial properties to determine their market value for purposes such as sale, purchase, insurance, mortgage, taxation, or development. You will produce accurate, impartial, and professional valuation reports that adhere to regulatory standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect properties and gather relevant data (location, condition, size, amenities, etc.)
• Analyze comparable property data, market trends, and economic influences
• Prepare detailed and accurate valuation reports
• Provide valuation services for a range of purposes including sales, investments, mortgages, litigation, taxation, and insurance
• Liaise with clients, banks, legal professionals, and real estate agents
• Ensure compliance with relevant local and national laws, RICS (or equivalent body) standards, and ethical codes
• Keep up to date with changes in the property market, valuation regulations, and building codes
• Use valuation tools and software to assist in accurate assessments
• Attend professional training and development programs as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or B. Arch.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, API, or country-specific licensing/accreditation) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in property valuation
• Strong knowledge of property laws, zoning regulations, and construction practices
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and report-writing skills
• Proficient in MS Office and valuation software (e.g., ValEx, CoreLogic, PropertyIQ)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site inspections

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in both residential and commercial property valuation
• Familiarity with automated valuation models (AVMs)
• Negotiation and client-handling experience
