Role Summary

The Proofreader is responsible for reviewing, correcting, and improving written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and high professional standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent grammar knowledge, and the ability to work with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and proofread documents, emails, reports, marketing materials, and internal communication.
• Check content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typographical errors.
• Ensure consistency in tone, format, style, and brand guidelines.
• Identify issues in sentence structure, flow, and readability.
• Suggest edits for clarity and correctness without changing the core meaning.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members for content accuracy.
• Maintain version control and track changes using editing tools.
• Ensure final documents are error-free and ready for publishing or circulation.
• Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience as a proofreader or editor (1–3 years preferred).
• Exceptional command of English grammar and vocabulary.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to spot inconsistencies quickly.
• Good understanding of formatting standards.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, and proofreading tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
