Role Overview

Transcriptionist & Proofreader

This role requires strong listening skills, excellent grammar, and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Transcription

• Listen to audio/video files and transcribe them accurately.
• Maintain formatting, tagging, and style consistency as per guidelines.
• Identify unclear audio and flag issues when necessary.
• Deliver transcripts within assigned deadlines.

Proofreading

• Review and edit transcripts to correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and structure.
• Ensure the final document is polished, readable, and error-free.
• Check for accuracy, context, and completeness.
• Ensure adherence to client-specific guidelines.

Quality & Communication

• Maintain confidentiality of all content.
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements or content gaps.
• Provide suggestions or feedback to improve transcription quality and processes.

Requirements

·      Proven experience in transcription and/or proofreading preferred.

·      Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.

·      Ability to handle audio with varying accents and clarity.

·      Strong typing speed with high accuracy.

·      Keen attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.

·      Time-management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.

·      Comfortable working in a night-shift environment.
