Project Manager (Solar)

1. Role Overview

The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing solar power projects from start to finish. This includes site supervision, technical evaluations, manpower management, vendor coordination, quality control, and ensuring timely completion within the project budget.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Project Planning & Execution

• Create detailed project plans, timelines, and work schedules.
• Review technical drawings, BOQs, SLDs, and system designs.
• Manage manpower allocation and resource deployment.
• Ensure project execution as per design standards and compliance.

B. Site Supervision

• Lead all on-site civil, electrical, and structural activities.
• Supervise installation of modules, inverters, structures, wiring, and panels.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and progress.
• Resolve technical issues and manage on-site decisions.

C. Vendor & Material Management

• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely material supply.
• Manage vendors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain stock records, tools, and installation materials.

D. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure work complies with MNRE standards, electrical norms, and safety protocols.
• Perform quality checks, functional testing, and system verification.
• Maintain safety protocols on site.

E. Commissioning & Handover

• Manage testing, commissioning, and performance checks.
• Prepare commissioning reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate with DISCOM for net-metering and approval processes.

F. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily work logs, progress reports, and checklists.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project updates for management.
• Document quality reports, photographs, checklists, and drawings.

3. Skills Required

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems.
• Knowledge of electrical installations, inverters, structures & earthing.
• Ability to read SLDs & technical drawings.
• Project scheduling and team handling skills.
• Good communication & coordination skills.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, AutoCAD preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
