Job Summary

Solar Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of solar projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
• Conduct and oversee site assessments, system design evaluations, and utility interconnection applications.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Monitor project performance using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards (including OSHA).
• Prepare project documentation and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Obtain all required permits, licenses, and interconnection approvals.
• Proactively identify and resolve risks, delays, and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Engineering

  (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil),

  Renewable Energy

  , or

  Project Management

  .
• 10–12 years of experience in project management within the

  solar or renewable energy industry

  .
• Strong technical understanding of

  solar PV systems

  (residential, commercial, or utility-scale).
• Proficiency with

  project management tools

  (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of

  NEC, AHJ

  , permitting, and

  utility interconnection

  requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing

  budgets

  ,

  schedules

  , and

  project documentation

  .

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certification (

  PMP, CAPM

  ).

• NABCEP Certification

  (highly desirable).
• Experience with

  EPC contractors

  and workflows.
• Familiarity with

  AutoCAD

  PVsyst

  , or similar solar design tools.
