Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Incharge to take end-to-end responsibility for the successful execution of our construction projects. The Project Incharge will lead the project from mobilization to handover, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, excellent technical knowledge, and sharp commercial acumen to manage all aspects of the project site.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

A. Project Planning & Mobilization:

  • Develop a comprehensive project execution plan, including detailed work schedules, resource allocation (manpower, machinery, materials), and budget.
  • Finalize the site layout, establish site infrastructure (office, stores, labor camp), and ensure all initial permissions are in place.
  • Lead the project kick-off meeting with all stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

B. Execution & Site Management:

  • Direct and oversee all day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring strict adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Lead a team of site engineers, supervisors, and foremen, delegating tasks and providing technical guidance to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and resolve on-site technical issues, bottlenecks, and challenges to prevent delays.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including machinery, and implement measures to minimize material wastage.

C. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE):

  • Implement and enforce the company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan. Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Champion a culture of safety on-site. Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols, conduct safety drills ("toolbox talks"), and ensure all personnel use appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and environmentally compliant project site.

D. Commercial & Contractual Management:

  • Oversee the project's commercial health, including budget tracking and cost control.
  • Manage subcontractor selection, work orders, and performance. Certify subcontractor bills for payment.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of client RA bills in coordination with the Billing Engineer.
  • Manage project variations, prepare claims for extra items or delays, and maintain all related documentation.

E. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, architects, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Conduct and lead regular project review meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and future plans.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely reports, including Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least [3-5] years in a capacity of independently managing a project site.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and project management principles.b
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
  • Hands-on experience with project management software like Microsoft Project (MSP) or Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and contract administration.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a large, diverse site team.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and control project costs to ensure profitability.
  • Negotiation Skills: Capable of negotiating effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹85,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per year
