Job Description – MEP Project EngineerPosition Summary

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of MEP systems within a project. This includes design review, planning, execution, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. The role requires close collaboration with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and main contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare, review, and monitor project schedules for MEP works.
• Ensure all MEP installations meet design intent, project requirements, and safety standards.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely execution of MEP works.
• Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Manage procurement of MEP materials and equipment in line with project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare progress reports, technical submittals, and method statements.
• Support project manager in cost control, risk management, and variation claims.
• Oversee commissioning and handover of MEP systems to the client.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in MEP engineering (construction or consultancy).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems.
• Familiar with international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, BS, IEC, etc.).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Project/Primavera (preferred).
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,413.91 - ₹60,000.78 per month
