Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning:

• Install weather monitoring sensors like pyranometers, albedometers, ATRH sensors, module temperature sensors, soiling stations, wind speed/direction sensors, direct radiation sensors, diffuse rings, and rain gauges.
• Mount sensors on ground-mounted solar stations, rooftops, open fields, or poles.
• Ensure correct power connections (UPS, solar, or battery-powered) and proper SCADA connectivity (TCP/IP or RS485).

• Site Management:

• Conduct site assessments before installation.
• Manage on-site resources, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams for seamless execution.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during and post-installation.
• Calibrate sensors and verify data integrity.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain installation records, site reports, and handover documents.
• Ensure proper labeling and adherence to company branding guidelines in installations and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in sensor installation, preferably in solar/renewable projects.
• Knowledge of weather monitoring sensors and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency in handling power supplies (UPS, solar, battery) and data communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS485).
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with solar power plants and environmental monitoring.
• Certification in electrical safety or similar credentials.
• Experience working with SCADA integration.
